Counseling for Foreign Nationals
For foreigners, life in Japan can be an exciting, very rewarding experience, but there are also things which may bring questions, uncertainties and even anxiety. This is why the City of Onomichi offers free counseling sessions for its residents of foreign origins; you are all invited to use this opportunity and ask all the questions which you may have.
Here is a description of the free counseling sessions for foreign nationals. (Please note that the dates and times are for indication only; please confirm ahead of presenting yourself to the venues by dialing the phone number below.)
Counseling with interpreter for the English language
- Dates: The third Sunday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September, November
- Time: From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Venue: Second floor of the Kokaido Bekkan (in front of City Hall, next to the Onomichi Motion Picture Museum)
- Topics: Immigration, visas, status of residence
- Note: Should you require assistance in any other language, please bring along your own interpreter.
Counseling in the Portuguese language
- Dates: The third and fourth Tuesdays of each month (or the next day if Tuesday is a holiday; there are exceptions, so please call the phone number below.)
- Time: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Venue: Counseling room, 5th floor of Onomichi City Hall
- Topics: All matters in residents' daily lives
- Note: Should you require assistance in any other language, please bring along your own interpreter.
