Light motor vehicle tax

The light motor vehicle tax is levied on people who own light motor vehicles or motorbikes as of April 1 each year. It is therefore important to immediately notify City Hall (within 30 days) should the vehicle be scrapped or sold, its ownership be transferred or if the owner has moved out of Onomichi City, as people registered as owning such vehicles on April will have to pay the tax. Remittance must be made every year in May, at the same location as for resident's tax.
