The Mitsugi Softball Ballpark is one of the best places to hold softball tournaments,
and many international competitions have be played out on its grounds.
The Mitsugi District Softball Society makes it possible to hold independent
competitions by employing fully-trained referees and scorekeepers. It now
boasts 108 referees and 14 scorekeepers, and helps the management of competitions
with cooperative and technological support.
On the national level, it counts the highest number of referees
- 1 for every 76 people (according to a 2000 census for a population of
8111.) The Society adheres to the Hiroshima Prefecture's 1996 City Development
plan, which promotes softball for young boys. |
