Teatro Shell-rune (Shimanami Koryu-kan) was designed to allow
people from all over to meet in Onomichi. It is the white, shell-shaped building on your right as you
go out the JR Onomichi Station through the south exit. It opened on May 1st, 1995, and its main area is a 690-seat hall.
As you enter the building on the first floor, there is a tourist information counter and a store selling
souvenirs of the Shimanami Kaido. On the second floor, three meeting rooms of various sizes can accommodate the
needs of businesses and groups. They are perfect for conferences, training, hobby groups, etc.
