“Ginko-hama” is the birthplace of banking in the
prefecture of Hiroshima, and the very first bank's building, made in the
Taisho era, is still standing to tell its tale. The building was renovated
and converted into the “Onomichi Historical Museum.”

- Artefacts retelling the story of Onomichi in the Middle Ages
- Documents which show the appearance of Onomichi during the Edo era.

- Documents about the vibrant economic life of Onomichi in the modern era.
- Documents related to Onomichi's postal system in the modern era.

Access
On foot: 15 min. from JR Onomichi Station
Bus: Get an east-bound bus from JR Onomichi Station and get off at the Nagae-guchi bus stop.
Walk 2 minutes to reach the museum. Alternatively, ride the Skip Line's bus and get off at the Shiyakusyo-mae bus stop.
Note: The museum has no parking lot. Please use the other, nearby parking lots.
