We held the international exchange workshop, "Let's make a Japanese wrapping cloth!" at Nakata Museum on Jan. 22 (Sun).
14 people joined the event, including 3 international residents from China, Trinidad and Tobago, and South Africa.
At first, we saw the paintings of the museum and took a walk in the garden, finding some shapes for furoshiki, a Japanese wrapping cloth.
After that, we enjoyed talking in a group. We talked about languages, culture and so on and learned about them. Learning about different countries was a lot of fun!
Before we made a furoshiki, we learned the meanings of traditional Japanese patterns. We enjoyed making our own furoshiki with our favorite colors and patterns.
Finally, we were finished.
We had a great time together!
